If you love the other stocking patterns I have posted lately, I hope this one measures up to your expectations. This is another fun one that will go great with the pencil and paper stocking. Who doesn’t love a series of themed stocking hanging on their mantel.

This stocking is number 3 in my series of 6 school themed stocking. This long stocking is perfect for placing those longer items in. It would especially be great for any crocheter or knitter who wants a new ruler, needles, or other necessary crafting tools.

Numbers
Numbers will be placed with the black line with 10 sts at the center of the number. You can either sew the numbers on or surface slip stitch them on. They will need to be big enough to see, so make sure you making all of them spread across the same number of rows.

Loop
Ch 5
- Sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc across (4 sts)
- Ch 1, turn, sc across (4 sts)
3 – 27. Ch1, turn, sc across (4 sts)
Fasten off leaving a long enough tail to sew the loop on the inside of the stocking.
Place both sides of the ruler so the good sides are facing each other. Starting at the top of the ruler, sew down the long side, short side, and then the second long side. Weave in ends. Turn right side out so you can attach the loop.
Fold the loop in half and sew it to the corner top of the stocking on the inside.
