Notes

  • Odd number rows are wrong sides and even number rows are right sides.
  • I always ch up 2 when I make c2c to minimize the holes that form.
  • Some of the blocks will require instructions on how to make them because you will be increasing or decreasing in a slightly different manner than your typical c2c projects.
  • There will always be instructions on how to start the row and then it will say how many more blocks to make for that row.
  • The total amount of blocks for the row will be in parenthesis.
  • The pattern will say inc block or decrease block.  It does not mean necessarily mean you will be increasing or decreasing.  It means you will be making a block as you would when you are increasing or decreasing on the sides of a traditional c2c project.  There are further instructions in the technique section.
  • In the instructions, it will say fdc if you need to make a regular foundation double crochet stitch.  If it says, FDC block, then you will be making the block of three stitches (See techniques to learn how to do a FDC block).

Techniques

  • DEC – This means to make a typical c2c block when you are decreasing.  Sl st 3 along side of last block, ch up 2, dc 3 times on ch of last block from previous row.
  • INC – This means your typical c2c block increase.  Ch 5, dc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in next two chs, sl st to next block
  • FDC block – This means to ch 3, dc in 3rd ch from hook, make 2 foundation double crochet stitches.  This block will have 3 dc sts just like a regular c2c block.
  • Ch 11 and make 2 blocks – dc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in next 2 chs, sk 2 chs, sl st to next ch, dc in next 3 chs, sl st to last block of previous round
