This blanket has an intriguing appearance with the color swirling around. It is a great way to use up a bunch of random cake yarns you may have. It can also be made using worsted weight yarn.

There is a tutorial on YouTube that you can watch. If you scroll down, there will be written instructions in case you would like to use them separately or along with the video.
Notes
- I recommend in the beginning placing stitch markers between your blocks on the side you are working on. This will help you get used to where you have to sl st to.
- This blanket can be made with any type of yarn. I recommend going up a hook size from the one suggested by the yarn.
- This blanket can be made using Mandala or another cake yarn with at least 5 colors in it or you can use worsted weight yarn to make each side a different color.
- With this style of c2c you can keep working on it until it measures the length and width you are looking for.

Make a c2c block increasing until you have 5 blocks diagonally and then decrease. Sl st along the side until you reach the corner.

Ch 5, dc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in next 2 ch

Sl st between the last c2c block and the second to last block of the row. If you unsure which space this is, it was marked with the yellow stitch marker in the previous row or look at this picture to see where I sl st.

Ch 2, sl st to the spot between the 2nd and 3rd block

Ch 2, dc 3 times around the ch 2 made right before slip stitching between the 2nd and 3rd block. Make a 2nd block to finish the diagonal row.

Continue making a c2c row with 3 blocks in the row. Sl st between the 3rd and 4th block

Ch 2, sl st between 4th and 5th block, dc 3 times around ch, continue make blocks in the row until you have 4 blocks in the row.

Make a another row increase to 5 blocks. On the last block sl st top of 5th block.

Sl st along side of last block made. Continue making c2c blocks decreasing each row until you have one block left.

Sl st along side of last block until you reach the corner, ch 5, dc in 3rd ch and next 2 chs, sl st between the second to last block and the last block.

Continue as you did making the yellow block increasing each row until you have 5 blocks.

Continue making diagonal rows but don’t increase any more. You will have 5 blocks in each row until you reach the last block. Then decrease until you complete the row with only 1 block.

You will continue making blocks going to the left. You will work down the side where the color you just finished has the side with 5 blocks.
