This week we will be sewing the rest of the pieces together. I apologize for being a day late. My kids have had a lot of activities lately. I also have changed the border slightly so we will wait another week on that. I wanted to make sure it sat perfectly for your little ones to drive their pup vehicles on.
Materials:
Needle
Stitch markers
Grey yarn
At this point, you should have three locations sewn together in a strip with a small section of road between each one. You should also have two long strips of road. If you blocked each section as you went, your strip with the places on it should be the same length as the long road.
Even though with it being similar in length sometimes it can be hard to sew the locations on both sides of the road and make sure they are perfectly lined up. To make sure everything sits correctly, you need to take each strip of road and place stitch markers on either side. As you are sewing the places with the long road, you should end at a stitch marker on the road strip as you have reached the end of the first location on the places strip. Then you will reach the next stitch marker as you finish sewing the small road section of the strip on.
The stitch markers will be placed on the road strip at row 30, 48, 78, and 96. There are 30 rows in he first location so the stitch marker makes sure the first thirty rows of the location strip and road strip line up. There are 18 rows in the small road strip so the stitch marker on the long strip will show you where the next 18 rows are. You will need to marker both strips and attach both like this.
